The SECOND Most Important Question

Who are you? What is your identity? This is the SECOND most important question for any human being to have the right answer to. Especially Christians!
Of course, the MOST important question that any human can answer is whether or not they know Jesus personally. I wish they could all say, “YES!” But sadly, I know there are many who can’t or won’t say this.
If you can’t say, “yes” to the MOST important question, then the second most important question doesn’t really matter. You have already flunked God’s test and there won’t be a way to recover your score. Every other answer you have will always be wrong.
But IF you have passed the first question, the second question becomes the key toward being able to live a victorious life or being stuck in a defeated lifestyle that is barely hanging on and just desperately waiting for heaven to fix everything.
Now if you are given the choice between a victorious life and a defeated life, which will you choose? It depends on how you answer the second most important question!
The second most important question could really be rephrased this way: What is your identity IN CHRIST?
Now astonishingly, the majority of Christians seem to get this question wrong. And as a result, there are a whole lot of defeated church people out there who are struggling with guilt, condemnation, stress, fear, anxiety, sickness, lack of resources, relationship problems, offense, and lack of peace.
ALL of these afflictions are the direct result of answering the second most important question of life incorrectly! There is not a single exception to this principle!!
Christian, do you see how important this question is?
And here is the most common incorrect answer that religion has taught to the majority of Christians. Are you ready to get your religious toes stepped on?
Christians are taught that they are “sinners saved by grace.” WRONG ANSWER!
Paul gives us a list of what we WERE. But these are not things that we ARE. And if you are still identifying with what you WERE, then you really have no idea of who you ARE. And you will answer the second question incorrectly.
But Paul doesn’t give hard tests. He actually gives us the correct answer to this second question.
You were (continuous action in the past) all of those sinful identities, but not anymore!
But now? You ARE three things. Three things that define your identity in Christ: Washed, sanctified, and justified.
These three characteristics are all one-time actions. They are not process words or actions that are being repeated. Every one of these three words is a definition of your new identity! And a done deal!
If you have been taught that you are just a sinner saved by grace, this belief is defeating you and killing you. You have answered the second question incorrectly.
The right answer is Good News! Discover your new identity in Jesus and it will make heaven start happening for you right NOW, in this life, here on the earth.
Get this and you ought to start shouting for joy. And maybe a little dancing too.
Your new identity is AWESOME!
