Acts 10:38

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

One of the peskiest words in the Bible for religious people to deal with is the word “all.” Religious people hate this word because it challenges their religious error and false views of God. They have to invent all kinds of weird religious excuses so that they can ignore this word. But their excuses make no sense, and they end up exalting their personal experience to a higher level of authority than God’s Word. There’s a lot of danger in that!

The word “all” means to include everything, without exception. And Jesus healed ALL who were oppressed by the devil. Not some. Not those who have come to a place in their life where they deserve it. Not those who prayed and fasted until they got what they needed. Not those who did penance. Not those who happened to somehow get on God’s good side for the day because someone in their prayer chain woke God up. ALL!

Now notice that this passage equates sickness with being oppressed by the devil. Sickness is not something that God, who “went about doing good” (continuous action) by anointing Jesus with the Holy Spirit, would ever use to teach people a lesson. Sickness is not good! It is oppression of the devil!!

Now religious people who struggle with this word “all” actually end up having God working for the devil in their thinking process, because they think that there are exceptions to the word, and that God sometimes uses sickness as a teaching tool to get the greater glory. Do you see how inconsistent and ridiculous this view is? It attributes the oppression of the devil to being a tool that God uses.

Now I can assure you that God is not helping the devil. But when religious people make excuses and tell people some foolishness about God using their sickness for some greater good, this is EXACTLY what they are saying! They are saying that God is working for the devil to help oppress them. And that has to be the height of stupidity!

But the word “all” actually means that it is ALWAYS God’s will to heal and that there are never any exceptions to His will. Your experience does not change His will! And instead of exalting your experience as somehow being a higher authority than the Word of God, why not get back into the Word of God and find out the reason why you aren’t being healed?

There are many reasons why people are not healed, even though their sickness is in contradiction to God’s will. There is no mystery about it. These reasons are all spelled out in His Word. Find them yourself and deal with them. And if you do, you will find the Healer who was hidden from you behind your false religious teaching. Sick person, YOU are included in the word “all!”
